We are part of a global community, and believe not only in the practical help we can offer around the world - in Tibet, Haiti, and more - but also in our responsibility to the earth and protecting its natural resources.
For example:We participate in 350.org by marching in a climate change awareness walk in Worcester, hosting environmental work parties, writing environmental tips in the monthly newsletter, encouraging tree planting, and so much more.We are partnering with Heartline Ministries in the Caribbean country of Haiti to support a maternity center and a childrens' school program. We will be sending a group on a mission trip to Haiti in April 2016.Each year, we hold a book sale to benefit Hands Across the Sea, an organization that fights illteracy in the Caribbean by providing books and resources for children throughout the area. The United Church of Christ, including our church, participated in "One Great Hour of Sharing", raising funds to help provide sources of clean water and food, emergency relief, and advocacy and resettlement for refugees and displaced persons worldwide.
